Yes, I may be disabled for the rest of my life. No, I may never have an opportunity to engage in gainful employment. However, what I can do is warn veterans about the possible pitfalls that await them. This project isn't about gloom and doom. This is just an account of my efforts to be a productive member of society who has something of value to offer, and of my ongoing efforts to finally earn my college degree.
It's taken many years to unravel the hoax that was created for me. I was enraged when I first saw the doctor's notes and the lies that she told in order to justify her actions. After I calmed down, those notes took on a much greater meaning. I slowly realized, to my horror, that any veteran could be kidnapped and forcibly hospitalized simply by showing up to campus and reporting to class. That's what happened the day I was handcuffed and taken away by campus police.
Another reason this project was so important to me and has been so important since my lawsuit against Bridgewater State College, is that I wasn't the only student to be forcibly hospitalized on that campus. I don't know if the other students were veterans. I don't even know their names or who they were. But through the process of discovery I found out to my horror that there was a total of five students who were forcibly hospitalized. Two were men of color, and the other three were white women.
God forbid that any of those poor souls were veterans of our military. If they were, then I want my voice to be the one to tell of the pain and devastation that comes in the wake of forced hospitalization and false imprisonment. More importantly, someone must show, prove and explain how a doctor can create patients out of thin air using stereotypes about service members, laced with bold-faced lies about their careers.
This series isn't only about my experience as a veteran on a college campus. It also includes stories of, what I believe is, the discrimination I endured at the hands of people who are paid to help people get back on their feet after they become disabled; the administrators who get paid handsomely, but have utterly no regard for the lives of students.
If nothing else, this project will allow me to eventually put down the ghosts of a nightmare long past. To this day, I am haunted by memories of the waking dream I lived through during the time I was on psych meds. I do this so I won't have live out my existence as a spectator of life, without a voice. Finally, I hope to help somebody else overcome the unjust and evil acts of low-minded individuals of ill-will, in positions of power and influence, who neglect their duties and serve no one but themselves.

Five Points of Contention
The Eyes of Lithium (2005). Photo by Al Wiggins Jr.
![]() |
The slanders are three:
1. Dr. Grace Siebert-Larke told BSC Campus Police Chief David Tillinghast that I was bringing weapons to campus with the intention of hurting people, which in turn compelled the campus police to treat me as a threat to the rest of the campus community. During the confrontation between me and Chief Tillinghast; I invited him to search me and my car. He accepted my invitation, and conducted an extensive search, but failed to find weapons of any kind.
2. With respect to my career in the U.S. Army, Dr. Grace Siebert-Larke reported in her notes that I was kicked out of the service on "drug charges." That is, and will always be, a bold-faced lie. I was honorably discharged after over six years of loyal service to the people of the nation I love. On that subject, nothing follows.
3. Dr. Siebert-Larke also said I was an officer in the U.S. Army, and a member of the military intelligence during my time in service, which was totally false and purposely misleading. I actually began my career as an enlisted man in combat arms as an artilleryman & weapons mechanic. My MOS: 13B(U6).
When I re-enlisted, I became a member of the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps. I was trained in the use and maintenance of the various (small arms) weapons issued by U.S. Army at the time. Though I was trained at Ft. Lewis, Washington, I became an armorer for the Military Intelligence Center & School in Ft. Huachuca, Arizona in the early 1980's. As an armorer, I was also qualified to be an instructor in small arms training and as a firing range NCO.
Now for the insults. There are two, but they will be counted as points four and five:
4. Though Dr. Siebert-Larke never met me or examined me, she cited me for dancing joyfully to "Buddhistic music" in the privacy of my own home. She went on to say said that my dancing religious music was evidence of "mania" and used it as a pretext to have me forcibly hospitalized in the psych ward at Brockton Hospital in Brockton, Massachusetts.
5. In her initial notes, Dr. Seibert Larke mentioned the name of the artist whose music I danced to. His name is Krishna Das, but his song wasn't Buddhist at all. It was Hindu. The name of the selection was, "Om Namah Shivaya." The dance I was doing that night, the dance I was trying to emulate in my own way, was none other than the cosmic dance of Lord Shiva Nataraj - the Destroyer of Ignorance.
Ten years ago today, I was discharged from Brockton Hospital after six days of deprivation that were the precursor to five years of incessant suffering. So it is only fitting that this is the day I return to the practice that's made me so very happy for so many years: Yogacara. It has helped me overcome all manner of physical infirmities since my stroke, it helped me break my body's addiction to the drugs foisted upon me at the hospital, and it continues to serve me well.
With deep love and devotion, I call it my "Karmic Boomerang."

"If even a good priest sees someone slandering the Law and disregards him, failing to reproach him, to oust him or to punish him for his offense, then that priest is betraying Buddhism.

so full of knowledge
broke the law one day
at Bridgewater State College.
First came the slander,
then to hedge their bets,
they made sure to deprive me
of all due process.
Incorrigible, and heaping
sin upon sin, upon sin.
Three furies set a trap
for an unsuspecting man.
A doctor sent the police
looking for a wild beast.
Instead what they found
was a law-abiding priest.
This is for the unknown student.
The student who doesn't know that
on campus there are two sets of rules.
There's the set in the student handbook
and the other set that's hidden from view.
The student who doesn't know
about the hidden law,
can easily be victimized
due to that fatal flaw.
It doesn't matter if that student
honorably served our nation.
Any veteran can be a victim
of character assassination.
For when a doctor lies
no student is safe.
Before the student can react
the doctor can escape.
With the help of co-workers
the guilty can stay masked.
While the administration
simply takes you to task.
For when a social worker
is jaded and corrupt,
access and accommodations
are easy to disrupt.
Another doctor can repeat
any lie about you
then legitimize the hoax
by calling it a review.
So if you become disabled on campus
the way it happened to me
you can be refused all help
and simply be turned away.
When administrators
take no responsibilty,
for school employee
criminality,
they become liars
with cowardly hearts
and will protect those
that do their parts.

Operation WarChild - Part One
Operation WarChild (Part One)
by Al Wiggins Jr
It's been a long time
since I've donned a fedora
and crept across the web
like a silent explorer.
Writing stories about a priest
who one day fell into Hell,
but at the time, those stories
didn't do so well.
But timing is everything
and wouldn't you know?
There's now a demand
for what I did years ago.
So I'm fixing and tweaking,
writing and proofreading.
Believe me, it's fun
and I'm far from done.
Behind the Veil of the Soul
I prepare things for you.
Just pay close attention
when I do what I do.
